Built in the tank down at Fox Baja Studios where Titanic was filmed, this massive steel structure weighed in at 750,000 lbs! Notice the size of the Condor lifts in the pictures, that should give an idea of scale. The ship measured 100 feet from the floor of the tank to the top of the deck. The turning was controlled by a 75 ton cable winch which also served as counterweight for the pitch axis. The pitch axis was moved by two 6" x 60" hydraulic cylinders. The ship's action was to simulate the stern sinking while rolling upside down.
